Juniper Rope Incense

Juniper is one of the basic ingredients used in incense making and is enjoyed by many people. This unique style of twisted juniper rope incense is twisted of high-quality lokta paper. When burned, this incense emits a clear and refreshing scent of juniper. It comes in a bundle of approximately 25 ropes, 3.5" long. You can burn rope incense by lying it flat on a bed of sand, which allows the entire rope to burn safely and completely, or use a rope incense burner. Handcrafted in Nepal.

Nepali Rope Incense belongs to the long tradition of family cottage industries in the Himalayas. Almost all young children learn to twist ropes from their grandparents and eventually teach their children or grandchildren. High quality aromatic medicinal herbs are gathered and dried. Herbs used have fumigation qualities and purify the atmosphere when burned. Lokta paper made from the Daphne bush is used to contain the herbs. The herbal blend is placed in the paper and given an artistic twist to create the rope like strands.
