This heartwrenching story from a son to his mother that brings to life a letter that unearths his family history before he was born. This brutally honest exploration of race, class, and masculinity is undergirded by compassion and tenderness. On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous is as much about the power of telling one owns story as it is about the obliterating silence of not being heard.
