Palo Santo also known as "Holy Wood," is a mystical tree that grows throughout Central and South America. This native tree is revered but oftentimes overharvested. Its botanical lineage lies within the citrus family and is related to frankincense, myrrh, and copal. Its clearing and energetic cleansing properties invoke strong medicine for grounding and clarity.

This holy tree is often used by Indigenous Amazonian and Andean healers in sacred plant spirit ceremonies. The rising smoke enters the energy field to clear misfortune, negative thoughts and to chase away evil spirits. Its use dates back to the pre-Colombian Andean and amazonian civilizations.

Size:  4 Bricks per package

Suggested Use:  Use when energy is stagnant, and to connect with Pachamama. It can also be used when energy needs to be cleared in the space or on yourself. Excellent to cleanse for rituals like divination as well as meditation, yoga, and other practices. Do not leave burning and unattended. Do not use Palo Santo irresponsibly, respect its history.

History:  It is believed that a tree or fallen branches must lie dead for 4-10 years before the medicinal and mystical properties of the wood begin to come alive. It is also believed that the branches of the Palo Santo that are felled by lightning have the highest concentration of medicinal and mystical properties.

Cultivation:  Palo Santo is a heavily endangered and revered wood so we made it our mission to work directly with a company that ensures our Palo Santo sticks are cultivated from approved farms by SERFOR protective services of flora and fauna in Perú. The sticks are harvested from fallen wood to ensure quality and respect for the laws to prevent profiteering from illegal harvests.
