This Organically grown Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is grown in Karnataka, India, where it is hand-harvested, cleaned, sun-dried and ground fresh. Using a unique irrigation system to conserve water the field is inter-cropped with sugarcane, producing yielding a sweet flavor. The high curcumin (5% and up) is ideal and scientifically proven to help prevent Heart Disease, Alzheimer's and cancer in addition to its anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties! This Tumeric has been tested for lead and contains 0% . Boasting rich flavors of ginger, jasmine flower, and honey you'll be reaching for this all year round.

Meet the Farmer:  Our partner farmer's father was an Ayurvedic doctor and he's incorporated the principles of Ayurveda into his cultivation techniques and post-harvest processing of the turmeric, including intercropping with sugar cane and a hot water wash to protect the curcumin content.
